I'm very sorry, but due to an unforeseen emergency, I won't be at lab tonight. I will be there on Tuesday to help, and in office hour 4-5 on Tuesday. Email me if you have any other questions or issues...

As we discussed, there is an oncoming issue that will affect embedded media in HTML when viewed by Internet Explorer. I made a mistake last time we talked, which was in attributing it to IE7. In fact, Microsoft is updating IE6. Web developers will have 60 days from April 11 to download the update and test their pages, then on June 11, 2006 MS will remove the ability for IE6 to properly view embedded media content (anything using the object, embed, or applet tags).. Click here for a good summary of what's happening and how to fix your site.
I found two solutions. The simplest solution I've found so far is located here. And for people who want to be on the ball with embedding Flash, I suggest using the FlashObjects javascript, which you can learn about here.
Email me if you have any
questions or concerns.
