Critique postponed. Tomorrow's critique is postponed! I know this might be not so happy news for some of you who have worked very hard, but due to popular demand, we'll cover DVD stuff tomorrow and do the critique next week.

Heads-up to anyone embedding their Flash movies or any other video (Quicktime, MPG, AVI, WMV, etc.) into their web pages: an update to Internet Explorer is going to change the <object> tag significantly, and that will require you to re-code all of your embedded media pages to retain your current interaction. Click here for a summary of the changes and links to some fixes.

Dave Logan worked up some Flash Extensions he wanted to share with you:

Dave's Flash Extensions

These require MX2004 or Flash 8. He gives good directions on installing them. They are super useful for basic animation.

I've posted the Rotoscoping Tutorial, so check it out and get to work. You should be done with gathering your video by now and all ready to dive into this tutorial. It's not difficult to rotoscope in Flash, but it can take a long time to complete, so be sure to get to work on it early.

And Dave Logan sent in these good links to some useful animation software:

I downloaded and tried these and they're quite good. Be sure to check it out.

And Dave also sends in this link to a cool Flash Actionscript tutorial/utility called VCam. Look for the sample file on that site.
