These are the bookmarks I created between February 7th, 2008 and February 10th, 2008:

• Annals of Crime: Friend Game: Reporting & Essays: The New Yorker - A terribly sad article about hoaxes and suicides on social networking sites. This touches on several other sad stories I’ve read over the years (Miss Norway, A Rape in Cyberspace, etc.) To me, this represents just how signifcant the virtual life can be.
• etc3 Source - The source code for Erica T Carter’s digital poetry engine.
• A Companion to Digital Humanities - The entire anthology is available for free online. I haven’t read this yet, but it seems like it could be very interesting.
• Machinima from Second Life KLRU Event - This post features a video of the PBS event in Second Life at the virtual Austin City Limits. It was a well-attended event with a high quality audio stream sponsored by KLRU.
• About the Series | Situated Technologies - The About page for what sounds like an interesting series of pamphlets.
• Social Design Best Practices - OpenSocial - Google Code - An interesting list of things that social applications should do. This seems reasonable and useful.
• EPIC-FU - art+tech+music for geeks - A videoblog KThread recommended to me.

• PyAMF - AMF for Python – Trac - A python based AMF server for Flash Remoting.
• PBS TeacherLine :: DjangoSites.org - Powered by Django - PBS TeacherLine is now listed in the site gallery at djangosites.org. Check it out and vote for its total awesomeness.
• Pandora Feeds for WordPress Plugin at blog :: weinschenker.name - So far this is a great plugin for integrating Pandora feeds into my Wordpress blog. It works in the main template, which I like a lot.
• Jaiku | Your Conversation - This seems interesting… An "activity stream"? Quoi?

Sarah has been sitting next to me all night giggling at wildly inappropriate moments considering the movie I’ve been watching: a PBS documentary about some sad down being forced to relocate due to widespread lead contamination (“The Creek Runs Red” on Independent Lens). Talk about depressing…

So she finally IMs me a link to the gallery she’s looking at and it’s this Album Sleeveface Meme, which she’s pointed out to me a few times before. I’m not sure where it came from, but there are about twice as many images today as there were yesterday (at least on the sites Sarah has found) and the images have two crucial qualities: 1) They are hilarious. 2) They are easy to make. Just like slapping some IMPACT or ARIAL BLACK text onto a kitty-cat photo, these things practically make themselves. In fact, a run of photoshopped sleeveface images can’t be too far away…
